The Touring Exhibition Masterclass specifically tailored to collectors, exhibition producers and suppliers, uncovers museum practices by expansive findings based on information from more than 500 institutions from 50 countries. The full-day course on 8 April in New York will be led by Bernadine Bröcker Wieder and Francesca Polo, Co-Founders of Vastari, international exhibition consultancy company, which published the Global Institution Report and Exhibition Finance Report in October 2018.
‘Vastari has facilitated more than 300 matches between exhibition owners and venues in 2018, with over 27% coming from private foundations and collectors who hadn’t toured before. We are happy to share our secret sauce with students; the do’s and don’ts, the realities of working with public institutions and the standard operating models behind exhibitions,’ commented Bröcker Wieder.
Dr Marisa Kayyem, Programme Director of Continuing Education New York at Christie’s Education added: ‘A first of its kind, this course showcases our wide range of continuing education offerings. Going beyond theory, the masterclass provides our students with in-depth analysis of exhibition proposals, touring and loan contracts, and museum survey data, equipping them with a toolkit to embark on their own exhibition production and collaborations.’
After New York, The Touring Exhibition Masterclass is due to take place in London and Hong Kong later this year. Find out more information and how to enrol on the course today.
