Biography

Soraja Helac has extensive experience in the primary art market, curating art shows that showcase international and national artists, and she also generates secondary market sales in the fine art industry. She is the founder of Helac Fine Art, LLC, which has successfully placed Modern and Contemporary artwork in both private and corporate collections for over a decade.
 
Soraja has worked for several art institutions, including the Villa Merkel Museum in Esslingen, Germany and the Neue Galerie Museum in New York City. She was also part of the Lean Academy team at the Mercedes Benz headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, where she was responsible for developing and executing trainings for employees. She has held curation and acquisition committee positions for major art museums and has been invited to be part of the Benefit Committee CITYarts, New York and the Jury for Photo Days in Rovinj, Croatia. She has spoken on panels and lectured extensively on the topic of art advising, collecting and art gallery operations including at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Christie’s Education, where she currently holds an adjunct professor position, teaching Gallery Business and Art Advising. 
 
Soraja holds a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Arts and a Master’s in Art History and English from the University of Ludwigsburg, Germany.
