Contemporary Art Today: Rewriting the Past
Contemporary artists have always been engaged with the art of the past, but today’s artists are not only engaged; they are transforming, critiquing and rewriting, creating alternative and diverse works that transform the way we think about art and history. In this course, thematic lectures are based on contemporary pairings with earlier masters such as Faith Ringgold and Pablo Picasso, Raqib Shaw and Hieronymous Bosch, Pope L. and Edgar Degas, and Nicolas Party with Jean Honore Fragonard.
This course will be delivered seminar-style online in our virtual classroom via Zoom. All participants will receive login details on how to access the course before it commences.
