After a decade of arts industry experience with Christie’s in London and Australia, culminating with the opening of a major representative office for Christie’s in Brisbane in 1996, Michael went on to contribute weekly as Art Market Analyst to the business section of The Australian newspaper for a decade. During this time Michael taught on Art Business at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. Following his time at News Corporation, Michael wrote a regular column for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age newspapers’ ‘Good Weekend’ magazine for five years.
Recognising that interest in Australian art is not bound by geographic constraints, Michael has established galleries in Sydney, Berlin and regional New South Wales, as well as an established online and social media presence. The Sydney & Berlin galleries exhibit extensively at art fairs within Australia and Europe.
