All our students have access to resources and staff of Christie's Auction House. Our full-time courses in London and New York allow students to explore the many museums and galleries located there and special study trips to Europe, USA, and China are included as part of these courses. In Hong Kong, innovative new courses act as an introduction to the art world in all its aspects, allowing participants to get a taste of the many different areas of study available at Christie's Education internationally.
Christie’s Education London is validated by the University of Glasgow to run a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Choose from the Arts of China, the Arts of Europe, Modern and Contemporary Art, and Art, Style and Design
From 2011 a new option in Art Business within all our Postgraduate courses will allow students to explore the ethical and commercial side of art-world-practice.
Christie's Education New York is a degree-granting institution accredited by the New York State Board of Regents. Our Masters Program in History of Art and the Art Market: Modern and Contemporary Art is registered with the New York State Education Department. A part-time Certificate option in this field of study is also available.
In Hong Kong, Christie’s Education offers short introductory courses on issues related to art and collectables from both historical and market perspectives. These two or three day courses typically coincide with Christie’s Hong Kong sale weeks in late May and late November, and feature both Christie’s staff and industry experts as lecturers. Topics include International Art Market, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, and Fine Jewels and Timepieces . Modular Art Business courses are available in London and New York. Both courses offer a flexible evening programme for those wishing to gain an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the art business and can lead to a Christie's Foundation Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Art Business for both art professionals and newcomers to the field.
